Ministers break home buy pledge!
Shared-ownership schemes, which are Government-backed schemes designed to help people buy homes in areas with high house prices, are failing to deliver.
People were told that, over time, they would be able to purchase a bigger share of their property until they owned it all. This has, however, failed to materialise due to high mortgage costs, rising property rents and high service charges on the share of the property they don't own.
