Jacky qualified as a teacher and after graduating from teacher training college started her working life teaching Maths and French. She decided to come out of the profession in 1986 and go into financial services, where she spent the first 3 years training as a financial adviser and the next 15 years as a mortgage sales manager for a large national chain of estate agents.
Jacky then decided to go on her own as an Independent Mortgage Broker and, in 2005, joined her husband, Clive, to form Matthews IFA Ltd. She is now responsible for developing the company’s mortgage business, leaving Clive to concentrate on life assurance, pensions and investments.
Because a property purchase is probably the biggest investment that most people will make in their lifetimes, we feel it is necessary that the person giving advice on the raising of finance should not only be a specialist in this area, but have a long and proven track record, and this is what Jacky brings to the company.
Jacky has been advising on mortgages since 1989 and has built up a client bank of many hundreds of satisfied mortgage clients, most of whom come back to her time and again to arrange subsequent mortgages for themselves and their family and friends. The majority of our business comes from referrals, and Jacky has had many thank you letters and testimonials over the years from satisfied clients.
Our mortgage business is done both face to face with local clients and also on the internet, therefore we can help anyone, anywhere in the country to purchase or refinance their home.
We can also arrange for the conveyancing of the property, for buildings and contents insurance and for life and critical illness cover to protect the mortgage, so we are able to coordinate the complete purchasing process.
